The Mother Road Hostel provides quality, budget accommodations for travelers of all ages. Conveniently located on historic Route 66 between Albuquerque's lively downtown district and historic Old Town plaza, we are walking distance to many of the city's finest attractions. Hiking trails along the Rio Grande, the Albuquerque Bio park's zoo and botanical gardens, as well as some of the city's best restaurants, music venues and bars. The Albuquerque Convention Center and the University of New Mexico are both near by as are the bus depot and train station. Pace bicycle and Spin scooter rentals are available at every corner to help you get around.
Built in 1905 as a single-family home for an Albuquerque businessman, the Mother Road building has a rich history of different owners & purposes, until ultimately becoming a hostel in 1976.
Since then, it's been Albuquerque's #1 Hostel!
